§. 19. Der Vorgang und die Folge doppelter Ziffern ist mehrentheils in diesem Falle ein Zeichen, daß das Accompagnement dreystimmig seyn soll; deswegen wenn man über diese Signatur einen Telemannischen Bogen setzte (  ): so würde man die vorhergehenden und folgenden dreystimmigen Sätze leicht daran erkennen.

§19. The presence of double figures before and after  is in this case generally an indication that the accompaniment should be three-voice; for this reason, if one were to set a Telemann bow over this figure ( ), then one could easily recognize the previous and subsequent three-voice passages.
