§. 5. Wenn die große Sexte die reine Quarte und kleine Terz bey sich hat, so muß entweder die Quarte, oder die Terz vorbereitet seyn. Am öftersten pflegt die Terz schon da zu seyn, und tritt nachher herunter. Die Quarte bleibt liegen. Diese Aufgabe kann bey einer gebundenen Grundnote, auch außerdem vorkommen, und wird zuweilen durch eine bloße 6, statt der

, angedeutet. Der Baß gehet nachher um eine Stufe hinauf oder herunter. Im erstern Falle pflegt die Grundnote eine 6, und im zweyten Falle den eigentlichen Dreyklang über sich zu haben. Wer den Sextquartenaccord weiß, der kann auch unsern Accord leicht finden; er darf nur bey jenem die Octave weglassen, und dafür die Terz nehmen:
